A Riverside teen is facing multiple drug charges after police found raw marijuana, THC oil and other paraphernalia in a vehicle during a traffic stop.

The stop occurred Tuesday, Dec. 11 just before 4 p.m. Police observed a subject, later identified as 19-year-old Christopher Vissicchio, driving a blue Audi sedan northeast on Bruce Park Avenue in central Greenwich.

Upon inquiring with the DMV, it was confirmed that the Audi’s registration and license plate had been suspended for no insurance and belonged on a Volvo SUV.

During the stop, officers detected the odor of raw marijuana emanating from the vehicle’s interior, which gave them probable cause to search. In doing so, they discovered:

  • 162.6 grams of marijuana
  • 27 vape cartridges with THC oil
  • Approximately 200 small glassine bags
  • One bong
  • 2 electronic scales
  • Multiple bottles of alcohol
  • $257 in cash

Police also determined that Vissicchio had an active warrant at the time of the stop. He was placed under arrest and is facing the following charges:

  • Possession with intent to sell
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of >4 oz. of marijuana
  • Operation of a drug factory
  • Operation of a motor vehicle without insurance
  • Operation of an unregistered motor vehicle
  • Misuse of a license plate

Vissicchio was released on $2,500 bond. He is scheduled to appear at Stamford Court on Wednesday, Dec. 26.
