Suspect At Large After Shooting Death Of Stamford Man

Stamford police are searching for the person responsible for the shooting death of a city man at the Southfield Square Apartments.

Torrick Johnson, 39, was found around 11 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25 when police responded to the area of 108 Montauk Ave., for a report of multiple gunshots fired, said Stamford Police Lt. Michael Noto.

Responding officers located Johnson, laying in the rear the building, the victim of multiple gunshots, Noto said.

He was transported to Stamford Hospital where he died from his injuries, Noto said.

This case is currently under investigation and while a person of interest has been developed, the Stamford Police Department is asking anyone with information on this case to contact the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at (203) 977-4420.
