Stamford Police Receive Report Of Shots Fired On West Side

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford Police are investigating a reported shooting on West Main Street at Spruce Street that occurred Thursday morning, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police reported receiving the call about 12:20 a.m. and are currently canvassing the area for any clues into a shooting, the Stamford Advocate reported. The area has been the site of a number of shooting incidents between a groups of young men who live in the area, said the Stamford Advocate.

A man was almost killed two weeks ago when he was shot in the chest in that area, added the Stamford Advocate.
