STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 30-year-old Stamford man was facing assault and breach of peace charges after an off-duty Stamford police officer spotted him Sunday, the Stamford Advocate reported.
Police said the man was wanted in connection with an April 1 attack with a baseball bat, the Stamford Advocate said.
Besim Muriqi was charged with second-degree assault and breach of peace, and he was held on $50,000 bond, the Stamford Advocate said.
The attack started out as an argument at a bodega, the Stamford Advocate reported.
