STAMFORD, Conn. – A Stamford man, already in hot water after a dangerous confrontation with police, has been arrested again, according to a report by the Stamford Advocate.
Elias Garcia-Ramirez, 29, now faces attempted assault, breach of the peace and other charges after an early Sunday dust-up at a city strip club, the Stamford Advocate reported.
Garcia-Ramirez apparently was drunk, police said, when he went after officers responding to a report of a disorderly patron, the Stamford Advocate story said.
In January, Garcia-Ramirez had passed out behind the wheel of his car on Grove Street, according to a Daily Voice story.
The investigating officer spotted what he thought was a gun in the car and fired several rounds at Garcia-Ramirez, who was not hit, police said. The weapon turned out to be a BB gun.
Police said then that they also found a partially consumed bottle of whiskey in Garcia-Ramirez’s glove compartment.
After failing a field sobriety test, Garcia-Ramirez was charged with driving under the influence, interfering with police, and possession of a facsimile firearm, according to the Daily Voice story.
