STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford fire units from the South End and Woodside stations rescued a person trapped in a vehicle following an accident Sept. 19.
The accident occurred on Southfield Avenue near the entrance of the Crab Shell. Firefighters said the vehicle flipped over with an occupant still trapped inside.
Crews worked to stabilize both the occupant and vehicle, then used specialized cutting equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle in order to free the trapped occupant.
The injured person was transported for treatment to Stamford Hospital.
