An anonymous tip received by Mike Connelly, a Stamford police officer in the narcotics and organized crime division, led to the discovery of the .44-caliber revolver, according to the Stamford Advocate.
The Smith and Wesson was loaded with six bullets and is valued at about $1,200, according to the Stamford Advocate.
