The man convicted for his role in a fatal Father’s Day crash in 2016 has been sentenced.

David Henshaw, 64, was sentenced to a term of three years in prison for his role in the fatal crash that took the life of a 31-year-old father of three, Felipe Soto, in Bridgeport. The crash tore Soto’s vehicle in two, and body parts were reportedly scattered throughout the area following the collision.

Soto was turning onto Main Street from Fairview Avenue when he was struck by Henshaw, who broadsided him, sending his own vehicle flying and ultimately landing on his roof. Henshaw suffered several broken ribs and a broken elbow during the crash.

According to reports, Henshaw drove as fast as 140 mph in a posted 25 mph zone.
