CT State Police Seek Witnesses To Fatal Crash That Killed Pedestrian

State Police investigators in Connecticut are seeking the public’s assistance following a fatal crash.

Malcolm Privott, age 33, was walking against traffic in Glastonbury on Route 2 near the exit 11 ramp shortly before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9 when he was struck by a Honda being driven by Hartford County resident Paul Sarno, of Enfield.

Privott, a resident of Cromwell in Middlesex County,  was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

Police said that the vehicle involved in the incident was later located parked in the median on Route 2 with “disabling damage” and it was towed away from the scene.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information has been asked to contact Trooper John Wilson by calling (860) 534-1090 or emailing John.Wilson@ct.gov. 

Anyone who may have a vehicle equipped with a dashboard camera who was in the area at the time has also been asked to reach out to Wilson.
