STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 19-year-old is fighting for his life after he was shot in the head at close range Thursday night at a Stamford bodega, police said Friday.
The shooting occurred inside the West Main Convenience store, located at 417 W. Main St., shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Lt. Tom Barcello said police believe the shooting is connected to shots that were fired a short time earlier close by on High Street.
"We believe they are connected," he said. "We are not ruling anything out."
Evidence gathered at both scenes leads investigators to believe the shootings are related, Barcello said.
Police are devoting a lot of resources to solving the case, he said.
"We're shaking all the trees to see who knows what," he said.
