STAMFORD, Conn. -- William Merritt, a longtime resident of Stamford, died on Tuesday, March 1. He was 66.
Born in Port Chester, Merritt was a union sheet metal fabricator for many years. "He loved being part of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club in Stamford, his trips to Las Vegas and lunches with his daughter," according to information from the funeral home.
Merritt is survived by his daughters, Kristel Andersen of Trumbull and Cindy Rousell of Mullumbimby, New South Wales, Australia; siblings Buddy, Sheila, Barbara and Donald Merritt; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Ann (Carr) Merritt.
Visiting hours will be from from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., in Stamford.
