STAMFORD, Conn. – Wade W. Young, III, of Stamford, died Thursday, Feb. 4. He was 54.
The youngest of three children, he was born June 3, 1961, in Stamford, to Wade W. Young, Jr. and the late Ann J. Dixon Young. He attended Stamford public schools and was a business management graduate of the College of Westchester. In 2012, he retired from Dress Barn, Inc. after a 33-year career, holding his final position as assistant vice president of distribution and merchandise services.
He is survived by his father, Wade W. Young, Jr.; two sisters, Debora L. Young and Janice L. Young; and one son, Chancellor W. Young.
He was predeceased by his mother, Ann J. Dixon Young.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 12 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a life celebration service at 11 a.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 150 Fairfield Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Downer Funeral Home.
