STAMFORD, Conn. – Susan Fazio, 93, of Stamford, died Sunday, May 31.
Born March 3, 1922, in Greenwich, she was the daughter of Guiseppe and Rosaria Paduvano.
In her early career, she opened Susan’s Beauty Salon with her husband, Victor. After several years, she went to work for Antone’s Hair Salon and became a partner in the salon. During her retirement, she volunteered at the St. Mary's Fair, St. Camilius, Stamford Voting Polls and at Soap and Suds. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and loved to bake.
She is survived by her daughters, Jo-Ann Andrasi; Patty Mancini (Frank); four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Victor E. Fazio; daughter Darlene Fazio; her sisters Carbina Longo, Rose Santora, Carmella Bounty, Theresa Riale Bounty, Antoinette Lodato and her brothers, Frank Pedwano and John Pedwano.
Visitation is Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Greenwich, Connecticut.
