STAMFORD, Conn. -- Rocco "Rocky" Feo, 79, a longtime resident of Stamford, died at home surrounded by his family Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
He was born Nov. 1, 1935, in Cirella, Italy, to Antonio and Maria Varcalli Feo.
He was a graduate of J.M. Wright Technical School and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Feo enjoyed a rewarding career in auto mechanics and was a valued employee and co-worker. In addition to helping others and spending time with his family, Feo enjoyed playing golf, watching horse racing and baseball and taking trips to the casinos with his brothers.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph of Stamford, and his two sisters, Mary Lawlor of Norwalk, Vera Hagymasi and her husband, Andy of Stamford.
Besides his parents, Feo was predeceased by three brothers, Bruno, Nicola "Nicky" and James "Jim" Feo.
Visitation is from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
The family requests donations be made in his memory to 501 St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38105.
