STAMFORD, Conn. – Lerline White, of Stamford, died on Oct. 21. She was 89.
White was born in Cuba on Feb. 7, 1926. She immigrated to Jamaica when she was 4 and moved to Stamford 47 years ago.
She worked as a housekeeper for St. Joseph Hospital for 32 years.
White was predeceased by her brother Leon C. Turdo and great-great grandson Derrick Hill.
She is survived by daughter Lurline Wray of Bridgeport; three sisters, Kathleen from Florida, Naomi from England, Daphne from New York; brother Percy of Jamaica; and two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, six great-great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
The Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home in Stamford handled arrangements.
