STAMFORD, Conn. – Irma (Davis) Raskin, a lifelong Stamford resident, died on Oct. 19 of natural causes at her home. She was 86.
She was born on July 31, 1929, to Sarah and George Davis.
She attended classes at Columbia University and became one of the first electro-cardiograph technicians at Stamford Hospital.
She went on to work on the original Stamford Urban Redevelopment Commission (URC) and as a legal assistant to attorney Paul Nakian.
Raskin was predeceased by her parents, husband Daniel, brothers Benjamin and Eugene and sisters Rose and Belle.
She is survived by daughter Ellen Holzberg-Raskin and her husband David of Larchmont, N.Y.; son Matthew and his wife Darlene of Huntington, N.Y.; and two granddaughters, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services were held at Temple Beth El in Stamford with interment at Beth El Cemetery.
