STAMFORD, Conn. -- Helen Docimo, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died Friday, Jan. 1, at Stamford Hospital. She was 85.

She was born in Stamford on June 25, 1930. to John and Josephine Keeler Fox. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the focal point of her life. 

She is survived by her sons, Michael Docimo and his wife, Cesidia, Wayne Docimo and his wife, Cathy, and Troy Docimo, all of Stamford; sisters Dorothy Buccino and Shirley Beauleau, both of Stamford, close friends Dr Chan Kook Rha and his wife, Lori of Stamford, as well as her four grandchildren Stefanie Docimo, Stacie Fontana and her husband Peter, Regina and Michael Docimo; and great-grandchildren Joseph, Nicolas and Christopher Fontana. 

She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Michael Docimo, Sr.; a brother, Edward Keeler, and two sisters Frances Tuccinardi and Irene Meehan. 

A graveside service will be celebrated at noon on Friday, Jan. 8, at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford. There will be no calling hours. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38105.
