STAMFORD, Conn. – Evelyn Sommer of Stamford died Wednesday, Jan. 27. She was 91.
She worked as a research chemist, moving on to become a patent attorney after earning her law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
Sommer worked as a lawyer from 1954 to just before her death.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph.
She is survived by her twin, Julia Einbinder of Richmond, Va.; three children, Peter of Cambridge, Mass., Cathy Iselin of Brooklyn and Tim of Westchester County, N.Y., three grandchildren; and 15 nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place Sunday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her memory to the Cambridge Friends School Playscape, Cambridge Friends School, 5 Cadbury Road, Cambridge, MA 02140.
