STAMFORD, Conn. -- Esther “Ethel” Ruth Edwards, a retired seamstress, of Stamford, died Saturday, Sept. 18 at Stamford Hospital. She was 96.
Edwards was born Feb. 13, 1919, in Santiago, Cuba, to Peter and Florence Jeffers.
She is survived by her children, Valerie, Joy, and Ricky (Jackie); grandchildren, Tenisha, Anthony, and Kelsey; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services and visitation are at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1231 Washington Blvd., Stamford.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church.
