STAMFORD, Conn. -- Concetta "Connie" Sgritta, a lifelong resident of Stamford, died on Monday, March 14. She was 85.
Sgritta graduated from Stamford High School. She worked at Reproductions of Stamford, Machletts and Bloomingdales of Stamford. She was an avid Yankee fan, and she enjoyed genealogy and crocheting.
She is survived by her sister Candida Mancusi of Stamford; sister-in-law Ann Sgritta of Cos Cob; and several nieces, grandnephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Sabitino and Grace (Meli) Sgrita, and her brother, Salvatore Sgritta.
Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 18, at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Ave., in Stamford, with a 12:30 p.m. prayer service. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, in Darien.
