Alfred Pinto, 87, Former Stamford Resident

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Alfred C. Pinto, a Venice, Fla. resident and formerly of Stamford, died Monday, Jan. 11. He was 87.

A veteran of the Korean War, Pinto was a member of the VFW. His love of sports allowed him to spend endless hours with his family, who he adored.

Pinto is survived by his wife, Lillian Pinto; children Alfred Pinto, Cheryl Nosenzo, Laura Chamberlain and Marlene Boshka; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Susan Dardis and Sandra Vizzo (Michael); and brothers Michael and Richard Pinto (Mary).

Besides his parents, Ralph and Loretta Iorio Pinto, he was predeceased by his brother Ralph Pinto Jr.; and a sister, Carol Pinto.

A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21 at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
