STAMFORD, Conn. -- Alberico "Ricky" Faugno, of Stamford, died on Thursday, Dec. 31. He was 75.
He was born in San Mango sul Calore, Italy, to Raffaele and Michelina Pierni Faugno.
He immigrated to the United States in 1966, where he was employed as a barber at Hoyt-Bedford Barber Shop in Stamford for over 45 years.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Antonietta Covino Faugno of Stamford; his sons, Ricky Faugno and his wife Suzanne of Poughkeepsie, N.Y and David Faugno and his wife Lauren of West Haven; and three grandchildren, Evan, Keira and Isabella Faugno.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law Lucia Covino, sister Viola Faugno DeBlasi and her husband Umberto of San Mango sul Calore, brother Duilio Vittorio Faugno and his wife Carmela of Stamford, sister-in-law Filomena Faugno of Piedemonte d' Alife, Italy, brother-in-law Angelo Covino and his wife Maria of Stamford; and many nieces and nephews in Stamford and Italy.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Salvatore Faugno.
Calling hours at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, will be on Tuesday, Jan. 5, from 3 to 8 p.m.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford.
Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.
