Two Arrested in Backyard Brawl in Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — Two Stamford men were arrested Monday morning after engaging in a fistfight in the backyard of one of their homes, police said.

Juan Deleon-Reyes, 25, asked Miguel Ange Morales-Alarcon, 34, to his house to confront him about making passes at his wife, Stamford police said. They began fighting, until police showed up and arrested the two, police said.

After the fight, both said the issue was over, police said. Both sustained minor injuries.

Deleon-Reyes was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. Morales-Alarcon was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge. They were scheduled to appear in court Aug. 23.

Also in the police blotter:

• Christopher Louis Simonelli, 21, of Stamford, was arrested Sunday night on charges of second-degree stalking, improper us of license/registration, operating a motor vehicle without minimum insurance, and operating a unregistered motor vehicle.

• Aretha Barnes, 43, of Stamford, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, charging less than $500 on a revoked credit card and credit card theft Sunday in a crime that dates to November 2010.

• Henrik Jensen, 48, of Stamford, was arrested Sunday morning on second-degree breach of peace charges.
