STAMFORD, Conn., -- As Winter Storm Jonas sweeps through the area, it has resulted in widespread closures of businesses, sports activities and other events.

Reader Ameet Iyer sent a photograph of a snow-covered building in Stamford from Saturday morning. As of 10 a.m. the National Weather Service is forecasting Stamford could receive 9 to 13 inches Saturday with the possibility of a further 1 to 3 inches later Saturday night.
