Stamford Artist Wins 2nd Place in Norwalk Show

STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford's Holly Griffith won second place for her acrylic painting, “Old Wharf," in the Rowayton Arts Center's “Expressions 2012” exhibition.

Griffith was one of eight artists elected to display their work. The exhibit will remain up until Feb. 25, and features works in all different mediums, a press release said.  The winning works were chosen by Robin Garr, director of education at the Bruce Museum.

“I tended to reward artists who pushed the limits of their media and showed me something new,” Garr said in the release.
