Jeremy Kipnis, 54, of Redding, was found floating in the middle of Lake Carmel around 5:30 a.m., Monday, July 22, said the Kent Police.

Kipnis disappeared after telling his wife he was going swimming Saturday afternoon, July 20, but then never returned home.

His wife, Carolina Kipnis, said on Facebook that a preliminary autopsy report showed Kipnis had a heart attack in the water.

"There is no way we could have known," she said on Facebook. "He had a complete physical in April and came out with flying colors."

According to his Facebook page, Kipnis graduated from Joel Barlow High School in 1984 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Bard College in the Dutchess County hamlet of  Annandale-on-Hudson.

He worked as an audio-visual media and technology designer and acoustical and visual architect, according to his LinkedIn page.

Kipnis founded Kipnis Studio Standard, where he designed and created large-scale cinema and music rooms.

A massive search was conducted following his disappearance with .first responders from numerous agencies including Lake Carmel firefighters, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, the New York State Police, the Westchester County Police Department, the Carmel Fire Department, and the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department and Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department dive teams.

An autopsy will be performed to determine an official cause of death but police said it does not appear suspicious.
