During the hearing, Tuesday, March 3, in Stamford, Dulos attorney Norm Pattis told the judge bags of bloody woman's clothing and other items were left on the back porch of his client's Farmington home the same day police believe his estranged wife was killed in New Canaan.
Pattis said that panicked Dulos and his former girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, then drove to Hartford and dumped the bags in trash cans.
In court documents, police said they caught the two on surveillance cameras throughout the area dumping the bags, that once recovered, contained items with Jennifer Dulos' blood and DNA.
Jennifer Dulos has not been seen since dropping her children off at school on Friday, May 24, 2019, in New Canaan.
Fotis Dulos died on Jan. 30, two days after attempting suicide at his home.
Pattis dropped the bombshell in an effort to allow the murder trial to continue so he could clear Dulos' name, he said.
The flamboyant attorney also said he knows who killed Jennifer Dulos, but declined to name any names.
Dulos' alleged co-conspirators -- Troconis and former attorney and friend, Kent Mawhinney -- still face trial on charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
In an email to Daily Voice, Pattis said he won't be making additional comments out of respect for Troconis and Mawhinney.
“The case of State v. Fotis Dulos ended today," said Pattis. "There are pending cases involving Michelle Troconis and Attorney Mawhinney.
"Out of respect for the fair trial rights of these individuals, we will have no further comment on the underlying factual allegations.”
Troconis is currently out on a $1.5 million bond and under house arrest with a GPS monitor.
Mawhinney remains in jail on a $2 million bond.
