STAMFORD, Conn. -- A retired Stamford High School custodian pleaded not guilty on Thursday to charges of robbing a Shippan bank, reports the Stamford Advocate.
Thomas Genovese, 73, had confessed to robbing the bank earlier this month, police said.
Genovese pleaded not guilty to armed robbery, threatening and fourth-degree larceny charges in state Superior Court in Stamford, reports the Stamford Advocate.
Due to his frail health, Genovese was released without bond hours after the April 7 robbery, reports the Stamford Advocate.
