Bridgeport resident Michael Drzal, 29, has been sentenced to six months in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, for violating the conditions of his supervised release, U.S. Attorney John Durham announced this week.

Drzal pleaded guilty in Bridgeport earlier this year to one count of risk of injury to a minor. He is awaiting sentencing on additional state charges.

In June 2012, Drzal was sentenced to 18 months in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release for release and receipt and distribution of child pornography. That investigation found that Drzal used a publicly available Internet file-sharing program to receive and distribute child porn.

The investigation found that Drzal’s computer and hard drives had 1,738 image files and 685 videos of child pornography. He was released from federal prison in December 2013.

Durham said that on July 22 last year, police in Milford arrested Drzal at the Connecticut Post Mall when he was caught using a mirror to look over the top of a bathroom stall while a boy was in an adjacent stall. Security video at the mall showed that he had been in the bathroom for approximately four hours.
