STAMFORD, Conn. -- Residents of Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk and Stamford without health insurance can get free flu shots at walk-in clinics this fall.
“The flu is miserable for everyone but can be even more costly for those who have to miss work as a result of flu-related illness,” said AmeriCares Free Clinics Executive Director Karen Gottlieb. “Together with Walgreens we can help more of our Connecticut residents and communities stay healthy this winter.”
Flu shots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Patrons cannot have any health insurance, including Medicaid.
The walk-in clinics will be at the following locations and dates:
- Bridgeport: Weisman AmeriCares Free Clinic on Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Danbury: Boehringer Ingelheim AmeriCares Free Clinic on Oct. 6 from 3 to 7 p.m.
- Norwalk: Bob Macauley AmeriCares Free Clinic South Norwalk Community Center at 98 S. Main St. on Sept. 12 from noon to 4 p.m.
