STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Ferguson Library has sent letters to every Stamford house launching its 2015 Annual Appeal.

The Ferguson Library Foundation sponsors the appeal, which raises money for programs and services at the library. Job skills training, author visits, computer classes and children’s early literacy programs are some examples. Contributions also help the library buy books, eBooks, DVDs and other materials.

The appeal continues until the end of the year.

Other programs, such as a Sunday Sponsorship program that helps maintain Sunday hours, also support the library.

The library will have its annual spring fundraiser, A Novel Affair, April 14.

For information about sponsorship or other donation opportunities, contact Director of Development and Communication Linda Avellar at (203) 351-8208.

Donations may be made through the library's website at www.fergusonlibrary.org. Checks may be mailed to The Ferguson Library, One Public Library Plaza, Stamford, CT 06904.
