Paris in Fact and Fiction: 6:30 p.m. Authors M.J. Rose and Amy Thomas will be visiting Paris in fact and fiction. The event is free to attend. Harry Bennett Branch of the Ferguson Library, 115 Vine Road.

A Day In A Farmers Life: 2:30 p.m. See the artistic sides of pigs just like farmers do. The event is weather permitting and free with gate admission. Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Road.
Stamford Board of Representatives: 7 p.m. The Charter Revision Committee of the Board of Representatives will be formulating the questions that will appear on this Novembers ballot. The meeting will be held in the Democratic Caucus Room on the fourth floor of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.
Wednesday, July 18
"Hunger Games" Party: 3 p.m. Fans of the book will be able to partake in activities related to the book and movie. Its free to attend, but registration is required by calling 203-351-8243. Ferguson Library, 1 Library Plaza.
Stamford With Love Opening: 5 to 7 p.m. Artist Inna Linov will unveil her drawings and paintings for the newest exhibit with a reception. The exhibit will be on display until Sept. 4. Mayors Gallery on the 10th floor of the Stamford Government Center.
Preservation Hall: 6 p.m. Jazz Up July continues with Preservation Hall taking the stage. The concert is free to attend. Columbus Park.
Thursday, July 19
Alive@Five: 5 p.m. Hot Chelle Rae is headlining the weekly summer concert series with Eytan & The Embassy and My Pet Dragon opening. The concert takes place rain or shine. Columbus Park.
Friday, July 20
Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked: 2 p.m. Take the kids to see Alvin, Simon and Theodore in their big screen adventure. The film runs 87 minutes and is rated G. Ferguson Library, 1 Library Plaza.
Charity Soccer Tournament: 5:30 p.m. The four largest companies in Stamford RBS, UBS, Nestle Waters and FactSet will hold a charity soccer tournament to raise money for the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County and other organizations. Stamford High School.
