STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Avon Theatre in Stamford will screen the 1974 classic "Chinatown" on Nov. 17.
Film noir maven Michael Kovner will lead a post-film Q&A.

The film was nominated for 11 Academy Awards, winning Best Original Screenplay, and in 1991 was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for films that are culturally significant.
