STAMFORD, Conn., -- Stamford's Wee Care Nanny Agency is hosting a one-day session Saturday for nannies on National Nanny Training Day.
The event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be held Italian Center of Stamford at 1620 Newfield Ave.
Among the topics that will be discussed is how to get children to listen and school psychologist Dr. Mistie Eltrich explains techniques on helping kids to want to do what's asked of them.
A representative from Susan G. Komen will talk about the importance of breast screening. Where to get them and what resources are available to us.
Emily Clark, from the Community Service Society of NY, will discuss and answer questions about the Affordable Care Act, and securing health insurance for you and your family.
A nurse from Stamford Board of Health will discuss the vaccine for Whooping Cough.
There will also be discussion on children and food allergies and other issues relating to nanny care, including proper nutrition.
