STAMFORD, Conn. -- “Money Can Buy You Happiness” will be the focus of the Tuesday, April 19 seminar at the Stamford Chamber of Commerce.
The seminar and Networking Afterhours is hosted by the chamber's Women’s Leadership Council.
This quarterly event is 5:30-8 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza. The cost per person is $45 for members and $55 for non-members. The event is open to men and women. Included are hearty hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
The seminar discussion will be presented by Patty Ann Tublin, CEO and Founder of Relationship Toolbox LLC in Stamford and author of her latest book, “Money Can Buy You Happiness: Secrets Women Need to Know to Get Paid What They Are Worth.”
United Bank is the sponsor of the Seminar and Afterhours. They are donating an autographed copy of Tublin’s new book to the first 50 registrants.
During the presentation participants will learn,
- Proven tips to guarantee you are never underpaid again
- How people themselves are often their own worst enemy
- Sure fire tools for a successful negotiation that works for everyone
“It’s been over a half a century since President John F. Kennedy championed the Equal Pay Act of 1963,” said Tublin. “Yet the gender wage gap still exists with women continuing to be underpaid regardless of their education, profession and socio-economic status.”
Dr. Tublin obtained her B.S. and two Master’s Degrees from New York University, graduated summa cum laude with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (summa cum laude) and is a Registered Nurse.
The Women’s Leadership Council is being chaired by Maureen E. Hanley-Bellitto, Senior Vice-President of United Bank, Commercial Lending Fairfield County Division.
The WLC was formed to provide opportunities for Chamber women to expand the scope of their involvement in professional and commercial business.
