STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Boys and Girls Club of Stamford is gearing up for its 2016 City Chic gala on Thursday, March 24.
The evening will feature entertainment, refreshments, silent auction and raffles, and a live auction emceed by Stamford’s own Bobby Valentine. The focal point will be the 7:30 p.m. presentation of three major 2016 BGCS awards:
- Corporate Partnership Award to the Law Firm of Shipman and Goodwin LLP of Stamford, Greenwich, Hartford, New Haven, Lakeville, New York City, and Washington, D.C
- Guardian of the Community Award to Dominic Franchella, owner of Stamford Ford Lincoln
- Lifetime Achievement Award to John Griswold of Stamford
“City Chic is the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford’s largest fundraising event,” said Michael Cotela, BCGS executive director. “It also is an opportunity for our leadership and staff, and the entire Greater Stamford community to express their appreciation to the companies and individuals who provide outstanding support to our organization and programs and the youth we serve every day.”
“This year’s City Chic honorees – the attorneys at Shipman and Goodwin LLP’s Stamford office, Dominic Franchella, and John Griswold – all are dedicated volunteers who step up to make possible many of our most important programs,” said BGCS Chief Development Officer Christine S. Larsen, who is managing the gala with Event Chair Karyn Ward of The Ashforth Company. “We are very grateful they are part of our community ‘family’, and we welcome all businesses, organizations and individuals interested in sponsoring or attending this wonderful event to contact us.”
The City Chic gala will be held at 6 p.m. at the Stamford Center for the Arts, 61 Atlantic St. Tickets are now available and cost $250 per person, which includes cocktails and desserts. To purchase tickets or learn about sponsorship opportunities, go to their website or call 203-324-0594.
