Actress Janine Turner To Premiere Movie In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — Actress Janine Turner of “Cliffhanger” and “Friday Night Lights” will be coming to Stamford on Monday for the premiere of the documentary “We the People.”

The film showcases the winners of the “We The People 9.17” contest which was sponsored by Turner’s organization Constituting America, a release said. The film follows the winners to “Constitution Weekend of 2012” in historic Philadelphia, the release said.

In addition to the film Annie Nirschel of Stamford, who won for “Best Song for a High School Student,” will perform with Stamford Rock legend Mick Leonard and his band Away Team, the release said. She is a senior at the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering.

Constituting America is a nonprofit organization, founded in 2010 by Taylor and Cathy Gillespie, a political consultant and grass roots organizer, to educate people on the importance of the U.S. Constitution.
