STAMFORD, Conn. -- How does "Oh No Cookie Dough" sound about now? It's cookie dough Ice cream filled with hot fudge, wrapped in pound cake, fried then topped with powdered sugar, whipped cream and cookie dough.
Or "Rise of The Nutella"? That one is chocolate chip ice cream filled with nutella spread, wrapped in pound cake, fried then topped with hot fudge, powdered sugar, whip cream and more nutella spread.
It's all part of the decadent options at Drop & Fry at Cummings Beach in Stamford, a new business created by childhood friends Irving Diaz and Mario Forte.
The two told CT Bites they came up with the idea to batter-dip-and-fry pound cake-coated balls of ice cream after being dissatisfied with the fried ice cream options at other restaurants.
According to their website, they offer "a twist to ice cream that gives you a hot and cold sensation when you're enjoying your favorite dessert."
