Struggling Prisoner Bites Police Officers In Bridgeport Lock-Up BRIDGEPORT — Several police officers suffered bites and strains Wednesday morning when a person in custody started struggling, according to police spokesman Av Harris.The prisoner, who was not named, injured officers who were trying to restrain him as prisoners were being assembled for transport, police said. Several officers and detectives were required to detain and handcuff the struggling prisoner, Harris said. The prisoner was charged for assaulting the officers in addition to original charges he was facing, Harris said.
