Mayor Mark Lauretti and School Superintendent Chris Clouet told the Shelton Herald that they worked together to come up with a plan to complete the work.
Improvements will include the addition of outdoor surveillance cameras, repairs to the gym floor, fixes in minor cracks in cement walkways and improvements on classroom ventilation issues. Work is scheduled to begin this summer at an estimated cost of $150,000, added the Shelton Herald.
