SHELTON, Conn. -- Requirements were determined at Wednesday's Board of Education meeting in Shelton on how a student who died can receive an honorary or regular diploma posthumously, according to the Shelton Herald.
After Stratford High School student Edmund Conklin died tragically at 17 in February, the board followed a long process to determine diploma details, said the Shelton Herald.
The required guidelines for a posthumous honorary diploma have been laid out by the board, according to the Shelton Herald.
These include having to be a student at SHS when they died and that the diplomas would be given at an awards ceremony in the evening, said the Shelton Herald.
