Shelton Republicans Prepare For Primary Over State House Seat

SHELTON, Conn. -- Incumbent state Rep. Jason Perillo will try to fend off challenger Ruth Parkins in a primary to decide which Republican candidate will represent the GOP in the District 113 election for the Connecticut House of Representatives in November.

The primary is Tuesday, Aug. 9.

There will be no Shelton Democratic primary. Adam Heller is running unopposed as that party's candidate for District 113.

Polling locations for the Republican showdown will be at two locations: Elizabeth Shelton School, 138 Willoughby Road and Shelton Intermediate School, 675 Constitution Blvd. N.

Poll hours are from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Absentee ballot applications are available from the Shelton Town Clerk’s Office at 54 Hill St. or by calling 203-924-1555 Ext. 1503.
