Woman Dies From Injuries After Being Hit By Compact SUV In Greenwich

A woman has died from her injuries after being hit by a vehicle last week in Greenwich.

Greenwich police said a woman who was hit while crossing a roadway has died from her injuries.

The incident took place on Friday. Nov. 29, when Regina Dowling, 62, was walking north on Sound Beach Avenue when she began to cross Station Drive South, said the Greenwich Police.

At the same time, a 2015 Honda CRV was traveling south on Sound Beach Avenue, driven by an 82-year-old Greenwich resident. 

The CRV made a left turn onto Station Drive South and struck Dowling.

Dowling suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. 

On Thursday, Dec. 5, Dowling died from her injuries, Greenwich Police said.

The driver of the CRV remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. 

At this time no charges have been filed as this is an ongoing investigation.
