SHELTON, Conn. — A 23-year-old Shelton man was arrested and charged with giving a 15-year-old girl drugs and then sexually assaulting in a baseball dugout, according to police.
Police received a complaint in May that Matthew Pelham, 23, had given the girl narcotics and waited until she was under the influence before sexually assaulting with her in the dugout of the baseball field on Howe Avenue, police said.
Pelham was arrested on Tuesday and charged with second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor and illegal sexual contact with a victim under 16. He was held on a $150,000 bond and arraigned in court on Tuesday.
