Police: Angry Wilton High Student Made Shooting Threat

WILTON, Conn. — A Wilton High student was arrested after she made a comment about "shooting them all up" in a chain of events that began after she had poured a cup of coffee into a fellow student's locker, according to her arrest warrant.

Victoria Flowers, 18, of 41 Erdmann Lane, has been charged with second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace. She turned herself in to Wilton police Friday and was initially held on $5,000 bond.

She was released from custody Monday after posting bond. Among the conditions of her release are to seek help for anger management issues, to follow any recommendations from that counseling and to not go to Wilton High School, the warrant said. She also must reside at her mother's home in Derby, the arrest warrant said.

The chain of events began Jan. 24 when Flowers opened a random locker and tossed a cup of coffee into it, , the arrest warrant said. The locker owner and a friend heard that Flowers had done it and went to her in what was described as a non-confrontational manner in the arrest warrant to question Flowers. She denied having anything to do with the incident, but when the two later walked by her, an angry Flowers felt they were staring at her and she yelled at them, the arrest warrant said. She then walked up to one of the girls and cursed at her, the arrest warrant said.

The next day, she was called into the office of associate principal Donald Schels to talk about the incidents, but an agitated Flowers left the office and is alleged to have said, "I'm going to shoot you all up" in a nearby hallway, the arrest warrant said.

Flowers made the alleged comment after she had been told to stop bouncing a ball or to take it to the Flex lab by a school official because it was disruptive to other students, the arrest warrant said.

When Schels spoke to Flowers again about the coffee incident and the shooting comment, she admitted to both, according to the warrant.

On Jan. 26, a student reported to the investigating police officer that Flowers had allegedly posted on Snapchat that "Part 3" would take place Monday, the arrest warrant said. No explanation was made in the arrest warrant about the nature of that information.

She had been suspended from school and was scheduled to return Monday, Jan. 30, the arrest warrant said. Flowers wasn't allowed back in Wilton High and she was arrested by police Friday.

Last week, Wilton High principal Robert O'Donnell said that he was confident that students are safe and that the school acted quickly to ensure their safety.

"We have a good team here at the high school, and I just want students to feel comfortable," he said.
