A man has been accused of petit larceny after stealing merchandise from a Long Island retailer, police say.

Police are on the lookout for a man suspected of stealing female clothing from J.C. Penney in Bay Shore (1701 Sunrise Highway) on Thursday, Oct. 24 around 2:30 p.m.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are on the lookout for a man, pictured above, who is suspected of stealing female clothing from JC Penney in Bay Shore (1701 Sunrise Highway) on Thursday, Oct. 24 around 2:30 p.m.

The merchandise was valued at approximately $400, according to police.
