A Westchester man is facing charges after police say he violated a protective order in Greenwich.
Investigators from the Greenwich Police Department were at the Stamford Superior Courthouse to attend to court-related matters on Wednesday, June 5.
The officers were advised that a suspect, identified as James Venia, 24, of Rye Brook, would be at the courthouse on an unrelated matter.
While in court, police say Venia was located and detained by the State of Connecticut Judicial Marshals, who then turned him over to the investigating officers.
Venia was advised of the warrant against him and was arrested and charged with violation of a protective order, police say.
Venia was released on a $35,000 bond and was scheduled to return to court on Friday, June 7.
