In Drill, Shelton Firefighters Practice Rescuing Passengers From Car Wrecks

SHELTON, Conn. -- Members of the Huntingon Fire Company Number 3 in Shelton practiced their extrication skills during a recent mock training exercise.

The department received two donated cars for practice. During the exercise, members split up by their experience and were given different objectives. Some were allowed Hurst tools, others were only allowed battery operated or manual tools.

Fire department officials said it was a great night of training and will help keep members prepared for emergencies.
