Car Crashes Into Pole, Knocks Out Power In Shelton Neighborhood

SHELTON, Conn. — A car slammed into a utility pole at 204 Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton on Thursday afternoon and caused a small power outage in the neighborhood, according to Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company.

Engine 2 and Tower 7, which were already out on other calls, responded to the area of Bridgeport Avenue for the motor vehicle accident. 

United Illuminating was on the scene with a crew to repair the pole and restore power to seven customers. According to the UI website, the work will be done by 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
