Jorge Morales, 30, was charged with distributing heroin from April 2015 to April 2016, following the death of a 21-year-old woman in Bridgeport on April 15, who had bought the drug from Morales, said the Connecticut Post.
He pleaded guilty before Judge Victor Bolden in U.S. District Court in Bridgeport on Thursday, July 14, the Connecticut Post reported. A sentencing date has not been set. According to the criminal complaint, the woman was found unresponsive at her home and was taken to the hospital where she later died, added the Connecticut Post.
At her home, Bridgeport Police recovered two plastic bags of heroin on the bed next to where she was found unresponsive, according to the Connecticut Post. The bags had the same mark that undercover officers had purchased from Morales days earlier, said the Connecticut Post.
